Welcome to Tamarind Tienda
Tamarind Tienda, our garden shop, is now open for business. We have seeds, cuttings, bulbs and plants available. Most of the offerings are easy to grow, drought tolerant and not readily available at the big stores. Our prices are very cheap. We offer seeds totally free. We will deliver for as small charge. ALOE VERA
This plant will take full sun and requires very little water. This variety produces beautiful peach colored flowers on 3-4 foot tall stalks. It blooms off and on almost all year. I have seen little finches come and drink the nectar from the flowers. The leaves can be harvested for medicinal uses like treating skin burns. It is available in fully grown plants, baby plants and seeds.
Fully grown plants are $5, baby plants are $2 and seeds are free.
AMARYLLIS
This plant will take full sun and it requires very little water. This variety produces beautiful white colored flowers with red stripes on 2-3 foot tall stalks. They bloom in spring. I have fully grown plants, baby plants and seeds.

This plant will need a little shade and it requires very little water. Plants are small, about 6" across, and look nice when grown in groups in a clay pot. They produce babies in the spring. They have a very small flower that is hidden in the center. I have fully grown plants and baby plants.
Fully grown plants are $2 and baby plants are $0.25.
BROMELIADS (SMALL RED CENTER WITH PURPLE TIPS)
This plant will need a little shade and it requires very little water. Plants are small, about 6-8" across, and look nice when grown in groups. They produce babies in the spring that shoot up on a stalk. They look good in a hanging basket or on the ground. They produce a very small flower down in the center. I have fully grown plants and baby plants.
Fully grown plants are $5 and baby plants are $2.
This plant will need a little shade and it requires very little water. Plants are large size, about 12-14" tall. They grow more upright than out. They have a beautiful flower that is tri-colored green, pink and blue.

This plant will need a little shade and it requires very little water. Plants are small, about 6-8" across, and look nice when grown in groups. They produce babies in the spring that shoot up on a stalk. They look good in a hanging basket or on the ground.They have a very small flower in the center. I have fully grown plants and baby plants.

This plant will need a little shade but can tolerate some sun and it requires very little water. Plants are large size, about 10-14" across and 12" tall. They have a beautiful flower that is peachy-pink with little purple blossoms. It blooms in spring. It grows babies easily.
Fully grown plants are $7 and babies are $3.

PLUMERIA (aka FRANGIPANI) ASSORTED COLORS
This plant will grow well in full sun and it requires very little water. Cuttings are 6-12" long and will grow into large trees. They produce flowers with lovely scents. It grows babies easily.
Small trees are $7 per foot of height and cuttings are $3.
WALKING IRIS
This plant will grow well in full sun and it requires very little water. Plants grow compact and are about 12" tall. They produce small orange colored flowers. Spent flowers produce seed pods which are easy to start.
Rooted plants are $5 and seeds are free.
CACTUS (Name Unknown)
This plant will grow well in full sun and it requires very little water. Plants are 6" tall and will grow babies around the base of the mother plant. They produce small white flowers with purple pin stripes on a long outreaching stem.
Plants are $2 each.
HELICONIA (RED AND YELLOW)
This plant will grow well in full sun and it requires very little water. Plants are 3'-4' tall. They produce red and yellow flowers with large green leaves. They bloom from late spring until early winter. New plants are produced from runners.
Plants are $3 each.
